Lemon Chiffon & Electric Blue
at Sandbox Venue
Event Details
Blue flowers have a limited window of availability each year. I accentuated the exquisite color profiles of cornflower and delphinium with an eco-friendly hanging floral installation at the contemporary Sandbox Venue in downtown San Diego.
The color palette featured electric blue, bright white, lemon yellow (literally, I used lemons!) and a hint of lavender. Color-blocking each specific color in the design gives the eye an opportunity to enjoy each individual element and the piece as a whole.
The ceremony installation doubled as a backdrop for the long head table. A woven, soft charcoal tablecloth acted as the base layer for the table top. White linen runners were placed vertically across the table defining each place setting. The table featured modern matte and plain glass vessels, highlighting the curvature of the light blue delphinium and fluttering fritillaria. Chartreuse and yellow lemons spilled out of the larger centerpieces, tying the whimsical tabletop floral and styling to the hanging installation piece.
