Modern Country Club Chic
at Rancho Valencia
Event Details
Jordyn and Griffin’s November wedding at Rancho Valencia celebrates the best of each coast for a wedding day rich in timeless sophistication and personality. J+G met during the first few weeks of freshman year while studying at USC. The bride and groom wanted to reflect their backgrounds in their wedding. Jordyn hails from California and Griffin is from Connecticut.
A classic, timeless selection of white florals including Liberty tulips and Pure Perfume garden roses from Grace Rose Farm in Santa Ynez, California established the floral story. Jordyn requested a petite bridal bouquet. Jordyn carried a demure posy composed of field grown garden roses, narcissus and nerine lilies. A chic silk ribbon in moss green polished off her bouquet.
The entrance to the reception tent for J+G’s wedding was absolutely stunning. Ten foot ficus trees in woven baskets flanked the entrance to the tent. Large custom fabricated wooden panels directed guests to their reception table. Uplighting and crystal cut hurricanes with pillar candles scattered along the pathway made the entrance feel warm and inviting.
Jordyn and Griffin hosted an after-party drawing inspiration from Cuba’s Havana nightclub scene. The decor included Cuban soda pop, coffee cans (which made wonderful vases!) and vignettes with gourds, oranges, limes, tropical foliage and crates.
