Textural Blush
at The Lodge Torrey Pines
Event Details
Personal styling and details are among the most important elements in creating an intimate, personal wedding experience for the couple and their guests. During my first meeting with Chloe, her eyes lit up when she mentioned her experience studying abroad in South Africa. She asked if I could incorporate protea, a favorite flower from her travels, into her bouquet. Um, yes!
I selected the most fragrant, stunning apricot and blush pink garden roses to pair with locally grown, structural protea. Chloe bridal bouquet included a touch of eucalyptus, blushing bride protea and bleached ferns for a delicate botanical detail. Chloe’s bridesmaids carried petite bouquets with protea, garden roses, and rice flower with eucalyptus foliage.
The Charles Reiffel ballroom, where C+S hosted their reception, has a warm, cozy glow. Golden amber details including gilded seashells and vintage brass bud vases with garden roses were added to emphasize the warmth of the room and accentuate the floral centerpieces.Catherine of The C&L Experience suggested we incorporate black details into the wedding to keep the color palette from feeling too sweet and traditional. A black satin bow tied to each guest’s napkin made a dramatic statement at each place setting.
